MFT Services
Counseling Services
Counselors and psychotherapists assist adults and children in maintaining healthy and rewarding relationships with other people and themselves. Therapists help those they work with decide what choices make the most sense in their lives. Our goal is to help the people we work with discover and develop their own internal resources to lead more satisfying lives. The results can be life changing.
Counselors offer sessions to individual adults, couples, children, teens and groups. Sessions are often 50 minutes in length. MFTs serve any child or adult residing in California, and our office is located on Bascom Avenue between Campbell and San Jose near Los Gatos and the Rose Garden.
In California, the therapists who assist in difficulties with relationships earn the license of “Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).” While a psychiatrist is trained as a medical doctor and able to prescribe medications, MFTs are trained to work as talk therapists. And although psychologists are well versed in how to research and use tests to assess specific issues, MFTs focus on helping adults, teens and children work through difficulties that arise in the context of relationships – whether a romantic partner, a situation at work, or within a family.
