Therapy for Adults, Couples, Children, Teens, Parents, and Families
Kent Campbell has earned a reputation for being a very thoughtful and compassionate psychotherapist who helps his clients make lasting changes at a deeply personal level.
Since working with his first clients in 2002, he focused on ways to use his warm personality to create opportunities for his clients to make meaning of their past, appreciate the present moment, and be more intentional about future choices. These honest dialogues open up new opportunities to live a more authentic and full life with greater capacity to tolerate distress.
A Therapist for Fathers and Mothers
Using an understanding of child development and couples relationships, Kent is sought after for his ability to coach parents on how to develop more rewarding and healthy relationships with their children. Taking time to reflect upon our choices and feelings as parents — as well as how we were shaped by our own upbringing — can improve life satisfaction today and help your children live healthier lives as adults.
A Counselor for Children and Teens
Kent began his work as a therapist as a young man who could use his energy and kindness to connect with youngsters in a way that allowed them to grow out of unhealthy patterns. Laughter and trust have a way of making space for difficult conversations and making sense of painful feelings. Counseling services for children go hand in hand with coaching and support of parents.
Therapy for Couples
Theoretically, a trusting long-term relationship allows two adults to grow together over time. A healthy couple has enough energy to build a life together and enough conflict to help each other to keep growing personally and emotionally over the years. Kent strives to help couples deepen their safety and trust so that each can be more vulnerable and real with the other; this balance of being understood with positive communication is a key to developing a healthier relationship. Couples who find success in working with Kent appreciate this ability to be deeply honest with and seen by each other.
A Therapist for Adults in a Changing Life
A good therapeutic experience can be awe inspiring. It is as if evolution has created a way for an adult, with a thinking brain and caring heart, to heal itself in the presence of another empathetic human being. Kent helps his clients who are distressed about very specific things as well people who have a much more general feeling of upset about much bigger parts of their lives. He is fond of saying that the therapy office is a great place to metaphorically spill the pieces on the floor and then figure out how to best put them back together — as well as which pieces to leave behind. Kent does well managing complex situations over time, leading to his clients making lasting changes in their lives.
